The Artist

Houston-based graphic artist Amanda Moreno started her artistic career early, sketching and creating her original characters and honing her skills by drawing renditions of her favorites as a young girl.

After graduating from Spring Branch High School, where she excelled in art, Moreno earned her bachelor’s degree in media arts and animation from the Art Institute of Houston.

Upon earning her degree, she began working as a staff photographer with U.S. Coins and Jewelry, helping the team capture images of the unique and eye-catching items that come through the shop.

When we launched Celebrity Mint™, we wanted to tap Moreno’s fantastic skill set, tapping into her love of iconic Japanese anime art for our first Chibi products minted by the New Zealand Mint.

When she’s not conceptualizing the next big thing for Celebrity Mint™, Moreno enjoys animation, online gaming and amateur entomology.
